About
My name is Robert Standefer. I live in a 100 year old house in Des Moines, Iowa, where I work for a software company. I’ve been in the IT business for fifteen years, working in various capacities for various companies in various industries. This includes everything from client/server software development for state government to defining an enterprise architecture for an insurance company. I’m primarily focused on the Microsoft stack. Just between us, I’m a huge Mac fan and have been for most of my life.
A lot of my career has been spent in consulting. As a consultant, you’d usually find me in the PMO of an organization, where I owned things like configuration management, IT governance, enterprise architecture, development processes, and so on.
Now I work for a software company where I’m trying to build the best application in our market. I lead a team of great people and work with stakeholders that love our field. I write code every single day.
